Buyin A Home

BUYING A HOME
IS LIKE
HAVING A BABY

We found our Arizona dream home
On Roadrunner Lane
Our due date was the end of April
We plan to give this home our name.

It will be delivered by Dr. Sheri Mays,
Once the labor pains are done,
Assisted by David Potter
The delivery day will be soon.

Our due date has come and gone,
Labor pains still prevail,
I’m pacing the waiting room floor,
And drinking too much ale.

I know the Lord has the control,
Chicago Title is the site,
If we are meant to have this home,
Everything will be all right.

Bob Cooper

Bob Cooper

Bob Cooper was a faithful man,
His crown of life, now given,
God ushered him, to heaven’s gates,
This usher, is now in heaven.

Bob lived a life, filled with joy,
His pleasures, there were many,
His family, horseshoes, dart ball too,
He lived life to the plenty.

His biggest joy that I observed,
Was ushering, in God’s house,
He would reverently, walk up that aisle,
Offerings carried, with such grace.

Trials in life, he suffered much,
Losing his wife LuVerna and son Neal,
He overcame these trials and made
His new wife, Audrey, to be very special.

His daughter Linda, has a giving heart,
Just like her father did,
Daughter In-Law, Karen, much the same,
Was at his hospital bed.

I pray his memory will live on,
I know I will not forget,
The dart ball games, when we would say,
“What do you say Lions”?
Bob would be the loudest ROAR yet!

The Cross and the Moon

Good Friday was a special day,
We had supper with Wayne and Cheryl Gay,
Pat Stevens joined us, for the feast,
As we left, we had quite a treat.

The full moon rose, in Payson skies,
A lighted cross, caught our eyes,
Pat and I, were witnesses of,
These two signs, proving God’s love.

I pray the Lord, bless Pat each day,
That he guide her, in the narrow way,
That He show His love to her, in many ways,
Like he did, on Good Friday.

Photos Day Six

Gary's cabin site with tent for the men--

the "women" got the cabin bunks! Isn't that special!

Tour de Creek Day Six

Tour de Creek
Day Six
Roy, Larry and I went fishing,
up by Granite Creek,
We caught lots of Chum salmon,
Hoping for a Silver salmon streak.
We did omelets in a bag,
for breakfast with some toast,
Some took a nap,
Some went to Leon's,
His log cabin is the most!
Karen and Dotty played horseshoes,
one point if it's in the pit,
They threw and threw,
Karen got a ringer,
then they finally quit!
Gary and Roy built a coat hanger,
sliding rollers made old drawers, new!
Lars and I painted window trim,
in the color blue.
Roy cooked up brats and burgers,
Potatoe salad and beans,
a little wine,
a lot of food,
Alaskan joy instead of dreams.
We fly out of here tommorow,
We would like to stay some more,
The Lord has put a limit
on our fun,
We pray we come back for sure.
I thank Gary, Gail and our crew,
for memories beyond compare,
I challenge anyone to match,
the fun that we've had here!
